Don’t Fear the OCR: Digital Accessibility
for Education

Original Presentation: July 27th, 2107

That shadowy organization known as The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) collects complaints against educational institutions. One day, you may get a mysterious letter in the mail. Are you prepared?

In reality, the OCR doesn’t have to be scary. Most of the violations cited against educational institutions are known quantities and can be prevented before anyone notices. Our expert team has been working with clients in the education sector for a long time, and they will walk you through things that your school should know:

  • Common complaints that persons with disabilities may have about your website
  • Digital accessibility laws that pertain to educational institutions
  • What you should do when you get a complaint letter
  • Things you may have not have considered when making your website accessible
